Lower cholesterol naturally with plant based diet. Plant life doesn’t contain cholesterol, so a plant based diet is a low-cholesterol diet.

I do have to say that as a pescatarian and only eating fish my cholesterol levels were low and were at very healthy levels, and for me other animal life was the culprit contributing to my higher cholesterol levels. My cholesterol levels are at their lowest due to my plant based diet.

We develop high cholesterol levels either by consuming too much food that contains cholesterol, which includes meat, dairy, and eggs. We also develop high cholesterol levels by eating too much food that contain a lot of saturated fat.

I do eat a lot of saturated fat from vegetable sources and my cholesterol levels are excellent, so I don’t think the problem is all saturated fat. I think the problem is cholesterol from animals sources in combination with the saturated fat from the animal sources. Lower cholesterol naturally by reducing the amount of meat, dairy, and eggs you consume, while increasing the amount of plant based life you consume.

I incorporate beans, peas, pumpkin, seasonal fruits, and all sorts of delicious stuff into my diet. Your numbers are great. I just remember that my HDL was a little too low and the doctor told me that was not good for a woman. I wish more people would do less processed foods and more nuts, veggies, fruits…they taste really good! Congrats on your healthy results

Hi Dianne, as long as we keep supporting each other and keep pushing the benefits of a plant based diet, our circle will increase, and it will be easier for the people on the outside to see the knowledge and be influenced by it.
