The third annual 3-2-1 ride to raise awareness and funds to battle melanoma and pancreatic cancer took place on Sunday, October 11, 2015. More than 450 cyclist participated in this year’s 3-2-1 ride in hopes of eradicating cancer. In its first two years the event raised more the $75,000 and this year’s event is expected to be a record breaker for the cause.

Jessica Woiner Fera, executive director of The Woiner Foundation and 3-2-1 Ride said the event is really personal for here because she lost both of her parents to cancer. Her husband is also a two time melanoma cancer survivor.

The 3-2-1 cycling started at the Heinz Field Quay on the North Shore of Pittsburgh and included three different events: a 7-mile family trail ride, a 25-mile trail and road ride and a 62-mile ride on the Great Allegheny Passage.
