Study Showed Black Seed Cured HIV Patient
Black seed has been shown to cure HIV in a case study. Yes you read that correctly. Black seed has been shown to reverse HIV.
The incredible case study was published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) and after the initial fanfare it seems like people may have forgotten and have lost interest.
We need to keep this type of information alive and continuously spreading. Black seed has been shown to cure HIV! The black seed study was initially published in the African Journal of Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine and later by the NCBI.
The case study was on a HIV patient who after receiving a Nigella Sativa (black seed) concoction from a herbalist experienced a complete recovery. Black seed has been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years and it is no surprise to herbalists that black seed is able to combat HIV.

Black seed has been studied using the scientific process because of its successful use in combating disease with traditional medicine. Black seed’s ability to combat HIV did perform beyond the expectations of researchers:
“Nigella sativa had been documented to possess many therapeutic functions in medicine but the least expected is sero-reversion in HIV infection which is very rare despite extensive therapy with highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART).”
The patient had a history of chronic fever, diarrhea, weight loss, and multiple lesions. Laboratory tests of ELISA (Genscreen) and western blot (new blot 1 & 2) confirmed sero-positivity to HIV infection with pre-treatment viral (HIV-RNA) load and CD4 count of 27,000 copies/ml and CD4 count of 250 cells/ mm(3) respectively.
The patient was then treated with a 10 mls black seed concoction made by a herbalist twice daily for 6 months. The concoction consisted of 60 percent black seed and forty percent honey. At the end of the treatment repeated EIA and Western blot tests on 187th day on Nigella sativa therapy was sero-negative.
The post therapy CD4 count was 650 cells/ mm(3) with undetectable viral (HIV-RNA) load. Several repeats of the HIV tests remained sero-negative, aviraemia and normal CD4 count after 24 months without herbal therapy.
