World Cancer Research Fund International’s 3rd Cancer Prevention Recommendation: Reduce Unnatural Energy Dense Foods
Natural Nutrient And Energy Rich Foods

The World Cancer Research Fund International’s global research program determined that unnatural energy dense foods contribute to weight gain, which is associated with an increase in cancer risk.

The research supported minimizing or the removal of processed foods containing added fats and sugar, processed foods that lacked fiber, and sweetened drinks. Energy dense foods are foods that are high in calories per gram of food.

The research supported the development of a public health goal that lowered the average energy density of meals to 125 kcal per 100 gram. The results of the research also suggested that the consumption of soft drinks be halved every 10 years.

The personal recommendation is to stop eating eating fast food or minimally consume it sparingly, not to drink soda, and to consume energy dense foods sparingly.
