Underwater Pyramid Found Near Terceira Island – Azores Portugal
Underwater Pyramid – Terceira Island – Azores Portugal
What appears to be an underwater pyramid has been found forty meters off the coast of Terceira Island in the Azores archipelago. While on his yacht, Diocleciano Silva sighted the perfectly squared underwater pyramid structure during a recreational trip.
The “underwater pyramid structure” is estimated to be approximately 60 meters high, through the use of GPS technology. Dinocleciano Silva told the local newspaper that the “The pyramid is perfectly shaped and apparently oriented by the cardinal points…”
As the underwater pyramid structure is further investigated to determine if it is actually a man-made structure, archeological evidence found on nearby Pico Island supports an optimistic outlook.
Archeologists from the Portuguese Association of Archeological Research (APIA) have recenlty identified archeological evidence on Pico island that supports their belief that humans occupied the nearby islands thousands of years before the Portuguese occupation.
The evidence is made up of a variety of pyramid shape structure up to 13 meters tall. The structures appear to be built with a purpose in mind and were built aligned with the summer solstices.
